Costa Rica is the jewel in the crown of Central America, it is beautiful country that offers some of the World’s finest beaches, lush rainforests, incredible wild animals and incredible eco-systems. If you haven’t already visited Costa Rica then I implore you to do so and soon, this country is perfect for all types of vacations, those looking for something adventurous can take advantage of the hundreds of activities there are to do throughout the rainforest and on the many lakes and rivers, those looking for relaxation can wile away their hours on sandy white beaches, Costa Rica really does have it all. Often those with families think that Costa Rica isn’t the right fit for them but those people are wrong, Costa Rica is perfect for families and here’s why.

Price

As a start, the price of vacations to Costa Rica is very cheap in comparison to any South American or European destinations, flights are regular and there are even budget airlines who fly there. Once you are in Costa Rica, whilst not being as cheap as other Central American countries, you won’t be paying a lot for things like activities, travel and even the hotels are incredibly well priced, perfect if you have a big family and are looking to keep costs down.

Show the Kids Nature

It can be really easy to simply book you and your family into a hotel that has a kids club with lots of activities for them to do, or simply head to Disneyland and let the little ones run riot, in Costa Rica however, you can blow their minds with nature. There is a vast array of wildlife and rainforest in Costa Rica and your children will get the chance to see animals in their habitat that they have never seen before or perhaps only seen in a zoo.

Accommodation is Plentiful and Varied

Accommodation in Costa Rica reaches right across the board, from plush hotels with sea views, to campsites set deep within the rainforest, almost all are fully equipped for families and you can give your kids a real treat with some of the creatively designed cabins, yurts and lodges that exist throughout the country.

All Ages are Covered

Throughout Costa Rica there are activities available for all ages, horse-back riding, zip-lining across the Monteverde Canopy, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, climbing in the national parks, hiking the around the Arenal Volcano, swimming and every other activity you can think of, they are all inlclusive and can provide you and the family with great amounts of fun, not to mention some awesome photos. Such is the size of the island, you can even decide on going for a week of adventure followed by a week of beach relaxation, you can do this at minimal cost and really treat you kids to the best of both worlds without too much upheaval. Kids of all ages will enjoy themselves in Costa Rica, it is hot, interesting, packed with activities and parents will be able to have a lot of fun as well without paying through the nose for it.
