For the beach lovers, the Dominican Republic offers miles and miles of picturesque coastline. It is made of beautiful white beaches and rows of palm trees.  The shoreline is lined with beautiful fishing villages that are major tourist attractions.  The rest of the country consists of patches of calm mangrove lagoons and stretches of rocky cliffs.

Great Place to Party

If you are an indulgent traveller who loves good food and a great nightlife, the Dominican Republic will definitely appeal to you. There are many dance clubs that blast Merengue and Bachata music all night long. Watching these clubs is recreational enough if you are not much of a dancer. As for the food, there is a variety of cuisine available here. You have restaurants that serve elaborate gourmet menus and also a range of local street cuisine. Get ready to indulge in the Dominican Republic’s flavours and don’t be afraid to over spend, especially if you own the best reward credit card. Believe me, spending money has never been so rewarding!

The steep history of the Dominican Republic that has seen many immigrants making their way to this stunning island has resulted in diverse ethnicity. The colonial architecture is warm and very welcoming. The romance of the white washed buildings and the pastel coloured structures with bright blooming flowers gives this country a unique character. The cobblestoned streets remind us of the conquistadors who once roamed these areas. The beautiful homes in the areas of Puerto Plata and Santiago are magnificent and gingerbread coloured. These remind us of an era that was most prosperous for this region.

Best Time to Visit

The best part about the Dominican Republic is the fact that the weather is warm all year long.  Rain in this region is unpredictable. The warmer months are between June and September. The best time to visit it’s during the cooler months between January and April.

The Dominican Republic is a perfect destination if you are looking for a great travel experience that will completely rejuvenate you.
