This article covers seven places that you can visit when you find yourself in England on holiday.
Blackpool – if you do like to be beside the seaside, then you must be beside the lovely’ black sea’ in Blackpool. Yes, the weather pours down in buckets; the sea is gritty in colour, but what? There is just something about Blackpool that keeps people going back for more. It could be the lights that are on each winter, or perhaps the plethora of arcades that are dotted around the sea front. There are Victorian piers, a pleasure beach and of course, lovely British fish and chips. It is up to you to figure out what makes people go back for more!
The Snakes pass- It is a road to drive along that connects Derbyshire to Sheffield. It is very scenic and has many walk ways and camping spots along the way. There is the famous Ladybower reservoir along the way that is also the location of a lost town. A town that was flooded and lost under water! The buildings are still there until today, under the water. It is a very interesting piece of history to learn about.
Cheshire Oaks designer outlets- Chester. The town of Chester has a lot of things to see ad do, but Cheshire oaks designer outlet is a must-visit place for shopaholics; you will be able to shop until you drop. The fantastic thing is that the place is a haven for sales and discounts as it is overstock from the stores! You can save up to 75% off the usual store prices.
Southport- Yet another fine Victorian styled seaside attraction in England. Southport is home to a pier, a lovely park and a fantastic kid’s amusement place. You will notice that the beach at Southport is a lot cleaner than the one at Blackpool- but again, it is down to great British weather if you get a dry day there or not.
Liverpool Albert Docks- the Albert Docks in Liverpool is a great place to go and grab some Beetles memorabilia. It is the home to scousers and the tavern club where the beetles originally started out their long career in singing.
Wigan- Wigan has a lovely shopping centre and a pier that is still an eye opener today! It is a little odd to have a pier here but one thing for sure is that you will enjoy a day out in Wigan.
Manchester- This is the place to be! You will be able to shop in the Arndale centre, go to the old Trafford stadium and take a tour, and of course take a ride on one of the trams dotted around the city. Piccadilly gardens are a landmark in Manchester town centre, and you will be able to pick up a beer and sit down and chill out in the gardens. There is also the famous Manchester wheel! Similar to the London wheel, but you will be able to go up and above into the skies of Manchester and see all that lies below.
England is the place to be, don’t pass it by because it is ‘rainy’ or ‘cold’.
